മേടയിലേയ്ക്കുള്ള വഴിയിൽ തന്നെ നേരെ നോക്കുമ്പോൾ കുറച്ച് അകലെയായി ആലുംമൂട്ടിൽ കുടുംബ വക ശിവക്ഷേത്രം കാണാവുന്നതാണ്. വളരെ മനോഹരമായ ഒരു വയലോരത്ത് ആണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. വൃശ്ചിക മാസം ആയത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ക്ഷേത്ര വഴിയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ നമുക്ക് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രത്യേക വായന കേൾക്കാം. ദൈനം ദിന പൂജകൾ ഉള്ള ഒരു ശിവ ക്ഷേത്രം ആണ് തെക്കടത്ത് ശിവക്ഷേത്രം. ക്ഷേത്രത്തോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ച് മനോഹരമായ ഒരു കുളവും നമുക്ക് കാണാവുന്നതാണ്.
On the way to the Meda, looking straight ahead at some distance, you can see the Alummoottil family’s Shiva temple. This beautiful temple is situated on the edge of a serene paddy field. Since it is the month of Vrischikam (Malayalam calendar), one can hear the distinct chants of the temple as soon as they enter the temple premises. The Thekkedath Shiva Temple is a daily worship center dedicated to Lord Shiva. Adjacent to the temple, there is a charming pond that adds to the serene atmosphere.
