ശ്രീ നാരായണ ഗുരുവിന്റെ ഒരു ഉത്തമ ഭക്തനായിരുന്നു ആലുമ്മൂട്ടിൽ തറവാട്ടിലെ എ. കെ. ഗോവിന്ദൻ ചാന്നാർ. ഗുരുദേവന്റെ ദേശ സഞ്ചാരങ്ങളിൽ മിക്കപ്പോഴും അദ്ദേഹം കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ശ്രീ നാരായണ ഷഷ്ടിപൂർത്തി സ്മാരക മന്ദിര നിർമ്മാണത്തിന് നേതൃത്വം നൽകിയത് അദ്ദേഹം ആയിരുന്നു.
A. K. Govindan Channar of Alummoottil Tharavad was an esteemed devotee of Sri Narayana Guru. He was often accompanying Guru during his travels across the land. He played a key role in the construction of the Sri Narayana Shashtipoorthi Memorial Temple.
